I hope you had a lovely weekend. I spent most of mine scrapping at home while outside was pouring and snowing. And you know, with this weather, after a long week and a previous weekend exploring Madrid, it felt right to stay home for a while. It was pretty fun as I already had tons of ideas before I actually sat down but it was also kind of challenging at first. It always feels that way whenever I don't scrap for a while. I guess is one of those things that the most you practice the better, don't you think?

So, this was the first page I made (I ended up creating 3 and a mini album, so proud of myself). As you may already noticed, this one was inspired by the awesome Wilna Furstenberg. I love how she incorporates mix media and art elements to the layouts in such a pretty but easy way. First, I cut the paint splatters with my Silhouette Portrait and then I painted them with acrylic paint. I chose the green palette so it will match my niece's clothes. She is starting to show interest in painting and playing with stickers and so. So cute! To continue with this theme, I added a few embellishments related to crafts as the pencils, brush, scissors and the rule. And done!

Hola,

Espero que hayáis tenido un buen fin de semana. Yo he pasado la mayor parte del mío escrapeando en casa al calorcito mientras fuera llovía y/o nevaba. Y ya sabéis, con este tiempo, después de una semana de duro trabajo y de un fin de semana anterior explorando Madrid, tenía ganas de quedarme en casa por un tiempo. Fue muy divertido, ya tenía un montón de ideas antes incluso de sentarme pero también me costó un poco comenzar. Siempre me pasa lo mismo cada vez que no escrapeo durante un tiempo. Supongo que es una de esas cosa cuanto más practicas mejor, ¿no creéis?

Esta es la primera página que hice (acabé creando 3 y un mini álbum, super orgullosa de mí misma). Como ya habréis notado, me inspiré en el impresionante Wilna Furstenberg. Me encanta cómo incorpora mix media y elementos artísticos a las páginas de una manera tan bonita pero a la vez tan sencilla. En primer lugar, recorté las salpicaduras de pintura con mi Silhouette y luego los pinté con pintura acrílica. Elegí la paleta de verdes para que fuera a juego con la ropa de mi sobrina. Está empezando a mostrar interés por la pintura y a jugar con pegatinas y así. Tan mona... Para continuar con este tema, he añadido algunos adornos relacionados con las manualidades como los lápices, pincel, tijeras y la regla. ¡Y listo!

Disney dreamer

Hello there,

I finally found a moment to photograph this page since it is very challenging to find the right hour with the best light. The days here are getting colder and colder so we spent this past weekend mostly getting cozy at home with a blanket and a hot drink. We decided to watch a Disney movie all together with my niece. She is still very small for them so she obviously lost interest after the first 15 minutes but we still watched the movie anyways. Because we love them. And I love how she is also starting to love Disney as I did when I was a child and I still do as 26 years old girl. 

So, this moment inspired me to create this page. I played with diamond shapes on the background because I really really wanted to use again the "make magic" silkscreen by Studio Calico. I used it twice on this page with pink and yellow acrylic paints. I also cut a couple of papers with the same shape to continue with the design. I also added a vellum shape and a transparency shape on top of one of the papers to soften the background. I tried to match the colors on the photo with some pink and yellow embellishments and a few more neutral ones again to soften the pages and give it a kind of dreamy look.

Hola,

Finalmente he encontrado un momento para fotografiar esta página, ya que me esta resultando muy difícil encontrar la hora correcta con la luz más clara para fotografiar. Los días aquí son cada vez más y más fríos, así que pasamos este fin de semana prácticamente todo el rato al calorcito en casa. Nos decidimos a ver una película de Disney todos juntos con mi sobrina. Ella todavía es muy pequeña para estas pelis por lo que, obviamente, perdió el interés después de los primeros 15 minutos, pero aun así continuamos viendo la película de todos modos. Porque nos encantan. Y nos encanta todavía más la forma en que a ella también le está empezando a gustar Disney al igual que hice yo cuando era un niña y aun hago con 26 años.

Así que, este momento me inspiró a crear esta página. He jugado con la idea de rombos en el fondo porque realmente tenía muchas ganas de volver a utilizar la serigrafía Make magic de Studio Calico. La he utilizado dos veces en esta página con pinturas acrílicas de color rosa y amarillo. También he cortado un par de papeles de la misma forma para continuar con el diseño. También he añadido un papel de cebolla y una transparencia sobre uno de los papeles para suavizar el fondo. Quería que coincidieran los colores de la foto con los adornos de color rosa y amarillo. Además he añadido algunos otros más neutros de nuevo para suavizar las páginas y darle una especie de toque soñador.

Believe in the Magic of Christmas

Happy Holidays!

I hope you had some amazing days with your family and friends, feeling the Joy of Christmas, eating like crazy and enjoying the new presents. 

Now it's time to document those days. I love this time of the year but it always ends up being the busiest season of all of them. So, I didn't find yet the moment to upload all the photos to my computer and select the most precious ones to scrap. Until then, I decided to begin with this cute portrait photo of myself from the photo-call that all my coworkers and I set at the lab a few days before the holidays. 

I decided to go with a very bright background to contrast the dark photo. I wanted to play again with one of my favorite set of stamps from Studio Calico, which I already used before on this page (find it here). I used Versamark ink to stamped the circles repeatedly on one side of the page. Then, I embossed it with White Embossing Powder from American Crafts. And next, I colored some of the triangles with red/pinkish watercolors and acrylic paint. I love how they look like those classic sweets from Christmas, don't they?

To finish the page, I added my title (a little bit inspired by this challenge from Lora Bailora), some gold rub-ons here and there and a cluster of embellishments at the bottom right of the page.

Felices vacaciones!

Espero que hayais pasado  unos días increíbles con vuestras familias y amigos, sintiendo la alegría de la Navidad, comiendo como locos y disfrutando de los nuevos regalos.

Ahora es el momento de documentar esos días. Me encanta esta época del año, pero siempre termina siendo la temporada de mayor actividad y por eso aun no he encontrado el momento para subir todas las fotos a mi ordenador y seleccionar las mejores, las que quiero escrapear. Hasta entonces, he decidido comenzar con esta foto de retrato de la sesión de fotos que hicimos todos mis compañeros de trabajo y yo en el laboratorio unos días antes de las vacaciones.

Me decidí por un fondo muy claro para la página para contrastar la foto con el fondo oscuro.  Quería divertirme un poco con uno de mi set de sellos favorito de Studio Calico, que ya he usado antes en esta página (podéis encontrarla aquí). Utilicé la tinta Versamark para estampar los circulos en varias ocasiones en un lado de la página. Después, le di relieve con los polvos de embossing de American Crafts. Y a continuación, coloreé algunos de los triángulos con acuarelas rojas/rosadas y pintura acrílica. Me encanta cómo se parecen a los caramelos clásicos de Navidad, ¿no?

Para terminar la página, he añadido mi título (un poco inspirado en este desafío de Lora Bailora), algunos rub-ons dorados aquí y allá y un grupo de adornos en la parte inferior derecha de la página.

These days

Good morning,

Another day here with a new page inspired by a Sunday Sketch by Studio Calico (find it here). This sketch it is from the last month but it is never too late to go back and use it as a starting point for your creations.

On the same way, it is never too late to go back and buy your favorite add-on from last month which you didn't end up getting because you already spent too much that month on crafts :P. So, I finally got the Whitman add-on which included this rad silkscreen. I am so in love with this new technique! I used it before on this page (here) and as you can see once again I chose to paint it on gold but I promise to use it in a different way and with a different color next time. ;)

Also, I love the effect of the black letters on the background. Such a good way to de-stash some alphabets, don't you think?

Buenos días,

Otro día más con una nueva página inspirada en un Sketch de Studio Calico (podéis encontrarlo aquí). Este sketch es del pasado mes, pero nunca es demasiado tarde para volver atrás y emplearlos como un punto de partida para tus creaciones.

De la misma manera, nunca es demasiado tarde para volver atrás y hacerte con tu add-on favorito del mes pasado que no acabaste comprando ya que ya habías gastado mucho ese mes en scrap :P. Así que, finalmente conseguí hacerme con el add-on Whitman que incluía esta serigrafía tan chula. ¡Estoy super enamorada de esta nueva técnica! Lo usé antes en esta página (aquí) y como podéis ver una vez más elegí usar pintura dorada. La próxima vez prometo usar esta técnica de una manera diferente y con colores distintos. ;) 

Además, me encanta el efecto de las letras negras sobre el fondo. Una muy buena manera de usar esas letras sueltas que suelen quedarnos en los alfabetos, ¿no os parece?

Yellow is the new black (Glitz Design CT)

This is my first project with Glitz Design and I couldn't be more excited to finally shared it with you!

Let's have a look on the page:

I started by choosing my photo. I really wanted to document this photo with my new yellow skirt as right know I am kind of obsessed with this color. Isn't it the brightest skirt ever? hehe

So, to transmit the same feeling to the page I started by creating a mix media background with yellow and orange gelatos. You just have to paint some stripes with them and then add water to make them flow. 

Once by background was completely dry, I placed my photo on top of it with pop dots for more texture. Then I continued decorating the page with a few Glitz Design goodies. I tried to keep the embellishments as simple as I could to make sure that the background was still the main focus of the page. I used a 4x3 card to which I punched out the sentiment to make kind of a window. 

To finish the page I added my title with gold alphabets and a bit of hand journaling. Some gold ink splashes here and there and the page is done!

Este es mi primer proyecto con Glitz Designs y no podría estar más emocionada de poder al fin compartirlo con vosotras. Os dejo el enlace para ver mi post allí y sería fantástico si pudierais decirme que os ha parecido jeje

Vamos a echar un vistazo a la página: 

Empecé por elegir mi foto. Tenía muchas ganas de documentar esta foto: yo con mi nueva falda amarilla. La verdad es que estoy un poco obsesionada con este color últimamente. ¿No es la falda más alegre que hayáis visto nunca? jeje 

Quería transmitir ese mismo color y vivacidad así que me decidí a realizar un fondo de  con gelatos amarillos y naranjas. Si queréis hacer uno igual, sólo tienes que pintar algunas rayas con ellos y luego añadir agua para hacer que la pintura fluya. 

Una vez que el fondo estaba completamente seco, coloqué mi foto con pop dots para  que resaltara un poco más. Luego continué decorando la página con adornos de Glitz Designs. Traté de mantener el diseño tan simple como podía para asegurarse de que el fondo seguía siendo el foco principal de la página. He utilizado una tarjeta de 4x3" a la que recorte el centro con un punch de 2" para conseguir una especie de ventana. 

Para terminar la página añadí mi título con letras doradas y un poco de escritura propia; unas gotas de tinta dorada salpicando por aquí y allí, y ¡listo! Facil ¿no?

Love and My family layouts (Dear Lizzy & Janna Werner KDS 6th Anniversary)

Today I just wanted to share with as I promised the 2 fantastic layouts that I made at the workshops with Elizabeth Kartchner (Dear Lizzy) and Janna Werner for the 6th Anniversary of Kits de Somni.

Inspired by Elizabeth Kartchner (Dear Lizzy):

I love how this layout turned out! At first I wasn't too sure about the pink background paper but in the end I ended up liking it because it makes the hearts pop out a little bit more. We mainly played with mists and masks, and acrylic paint on the 12x12 piece of wood. I also used the Cricut paper cutting machine for the first time to make those paper hearts and it was fun!! 

For this project I chose 2 screen shoots of our daily Facetime routine. Well, maybe not daily but weekly at least hehe Sometimes the time difference (7 hours) make it difficult to find the right moment for both of us to chat. So I really wanted to document those moments.

Inspired by Janna Werner:
The kit for this layout was mainly composed by the Plus One Collection from Amy Tangerine. What I love the most about this one is that we built up a multilayer layout with even a mini accordion album inside the pocket. We also played with molding paste, watercolors and glitter.

For this page I looked through some old family albums and I chose 4 photos about my family that I simply love. It doesn't matter where life takes you as long as you remember where you came from and who are the people that has always been there for you right. It was a kind of throwback layout :)

Hoy sólo quería compartir como prometí los 2 fantásticos diseños que hicimos en los talleres con Elizabeth Kartchner (Dear Lizzy ) y Janna Werner en el 6º aniversario de Kits de Somni.

Inspiración de Elizabeth Kartchner (Dear Lizzy) :
¡Me encanta el resultado final de esta página! Al principio no estaba muy convencida sobre el papel de fondo de color rosa, pero al final me ha terminado gustando, ya que hace que la pieza de madera y los corazones destaquen un poco más. Principalmente usamos pintura en spray junto con máscaras y pintura acrílica sobre la pieza de madera de 12x12. También usé la Cricut  o máquina de corte por primera vez para hacer esos corazones de papel y la verdad ¡fue muy divertido y super simple!

Para este proyecto he elegido 2 capturas de pantallas de nuestra rutina diaria con el Facetime. Bueno, tal vez no sea una rutina realmente diaria, pero de un par de días a la semana al menos sí. jeje A veces la diferencia horaria (7 horas) hace que sea difícil encontrar el momento adecuado para ambos para charlar. Así que quería documentar esos pequeños momentos de diversión.

Inspiración de Janna Werner:
El kit para esta página se componía principalmente por la colección Plus One de Amy Tangerine. Lo que más me gusta de esta página es que hemos construido un diseño de múltiples capas con un mini álbum de acordeón en el interior del bolsillo y todo. También jugamos con la pasta de moldear, acuarelas y purpurina.

Miré a través de algunos viejos álbumes familiares y elegí 4 fotos acerca de mi familia me encantan. Ha sido una pequeña vuelta atrás, a los recuerdos de cuando era pequeña. Porque no importa donde te lleve la vida, siempre y cuando recuerdes de dónde vienes y quién es la gente que siempre ha estado ahí para ti.  :)

Hello!!

Today I bring you a very short post as this week I am very busy organizing everything for my next adventure. Next monday I'll be moving to Germany for 3 months to make a short stay there for my PhD. Eeeek! I am so nervous but so excited at the same time...

Today's page is very soft and simple, nothing fancy. The starting point was again a bright white with a tone on tone detailed background. To create this effect I used some Studio Calico cuts (made with my Silhouette Portrait) as stencils and white acrylic paint plus molding paste.

Once dried, I added another paper behind it to make the background pop a little bit more and a few gold splatters. Ok. So now I had the base done to start decorating it!

I placed my photo on a side so most of the banners were still visible. I continued with a blue/gold color combo for the rest of the page. Those puffy hearts and the paper clips are 2 of my favorite items right now. They are so cute, right? The tiny washi tape and the gold rub-ons are also always on my desk, ready to use! hehe

¡¡Hola!!

Hoy os traigo un post corto ya que esta semana estoy muy ocupada organizando todo para mi próxima aventura. El próximo lunes me mudaré a Alemania por 3 meses para realizar una corta estancia allí trabajando en mi doctorado. Aisss... Estoy tan nerviosa pero al mismo tiempo tan emocionada...

La página de hoy es una página muy suave y simple, nada de lujos. El punto de partida fue de nuevo un fondo blanco con detalles de tono sobre tono. Para crear este efecto empleé algunos recortes de Studio Calico (hechas con mi Silhouette Portrait) como plantillas, y pintura acrílica blanca más pasta de modelaje.

Una vez seco, añadí otro papel detrás para que el fondo resaltara un poco más y unas cuantas salpicaduras doradas. Ok. Ahora ya tenemos la base para trabajar!

Coloqué mi foto en un lado para que la mayor parte de las pancartas estuvieran todavía visibles. Seguí con un combo de color azul y dorado para el resto de la página. Esos puffy stickers con forma de corazón y los clips de papel dorado son 2 de mis productos favoritos en estos momentos. ¿No son super monos? La diminuta cinta de washi y los rub-ons también dorados los tengo siempre en mi escritorio, listos para usar! jeje

Espero sacar un rato pronto para contaros todo sobre el pasado fin de semana en Barcelona. ¿Has estado atento a mi Instagram estos días? Allí he compartido algunas de las mejores fotos del finde :)

Happy Thursday!!

While I am writing this post I am actually preparing myself for the BEST.WEEKEND.EVER.IN. BARCELONA. Yaaaaaay!! I am super excited because this weekend is the 6th Anniversary of KitsdeSomni and they are celebrating it with a super huge workshop weekend with Elizabeth Kartchner and Janna Werner. Can't you believe that I am gonna scrap with them? It will be awesome as well to finally attend to my first workshop and to meet a lot of incredible scrapbooking friends that I made through internet over the last year. ;)

But, for now let's have a look at today's page. I created this page inspired by the Sketchbook Class by Studio Calico. I love to see in this class how people start with a sketch in mind and from that they let their creativity work to finally design fabulous and different pages.

I used a variety of products from Studio Calico, some are from their kits and others are from some of their collections. I used the wood card first as a stencil to create those super cute tone on tone details on the white cardstock.

After that, I cut it on 2 and used them to make a stripe in the middle of the page.  I completed that stripe with a piece of paper and an envelope. Inside the envelope I added some hide journaling and a list of my favorite books right now. 

Then I placed my photo and the awesome card by Lindsay Letter. I lover her work!! To finish the page, I added some bits here and there and in addition I used a couple of stamps from the Sketchbook stamp set. So gorgeous!

I'll try to upload some photos of the event on Instagram during the weekend so stay tuned!

¡¡Feliz jueves!!

Mientras escribo este post en realidad estoy preparándome para el MEJOR.FIN.DE.SEMANA.EN. BARCELONA. ¡Siiii!! Estoy súper emocionada porque este fin de semana es el sexto aniversario de KitsdeSomni y lo celebran con un super gran fin de semana de talleres con Elizabeth Kartchner y Janna Werner. ¿Te puedes creer que voy a conocerlas y escrapear con ellas? Va a ser increíble, además también porque es mi primer taller y voy a conocer a un montón de amigas scrapbookeras increíbles que he hecho a través de internet en el último año. ;)

Pero, por ahora vamos a echar un vistazo a la página de hoy. He creado esta página inspirandome en la Clase de Sketchbook de Studio Calico. Me encanta ver en esta clase de cómo la gente empieza con un boceto en mente y dejando volar su creatividad consiguen diseñar páginas fabulosas y diferentes.

He utilizado una variedad de productos de Studio Calico, algunos son de sus kits y otros son de algunas de sus colecciones. He utilizado la tarjeta de madera primeramente como plantilla para crear los relieves blancos sobre blancos y dar así detalle a la cartulina blanca.

Después de eso corté la madera en 2 y los usé para hacer una banda en el centro de la página. He rellenado la banda con un pedazo de papel y un sobre. Dentro del sobre añadí una lista de mis libros favoritos en este momento.

A continuación puse mi foto y la tarjeta impresionante de Lindsay Letters. ¡Adoro su trabajo! Para terminar la página añadí algunas cosas aquí y allá, y también un par de sellos del set de sello s de la clase de Sketchbook. ¡Son increíbles!

Hello scrappers,

It is time to share another travel focused page. I wanted to tried something different with this one so I challenged myself to mix and match different techniques that I do not really use very often but that I definitely should have to use more often.

I am talking about brush scripting and stitching. I love both techniques and I love what other people do with them but I don't know why they are something that I am not that into, I guess.So to push me onto using these techniques, I started by graving one the Amy Tangerine Plus One stitching tags (the one with the feather). They come with pre made holes. So you just have to follow the path and you will have an amazing texturized tag. Very simple! 

After that I placed my photo and the tiny elements around it. I also used rub-ons, which is, once again, something that I do not use very often but I love! I guess, the reason behind this, is that I tend to hoard rub-ons... they are so pretty that I do not want to used them and I want to keep them forever in its cute packaging!!! But I have decided to start using them until I empty the packages.

Finally on the bottom side of the page I painted my title. I was so nervous because it was going to be a huge title and if I mess it that It was going to be a huge title to cover up as I didn't have another paper like that. If you want to try this and you are not felling very confident, try to make it at first on a white cardstock. In this manner if you mess up you can try it all over again on another white cardstock. I was inspired by the name of one of the latest collections by Studio Calico. I love the logo and I tried to make something like that with black ink.

Hola scrapeadoras,

Es el momento de compartir otra página de viajes. Quería algo diferente para esta, así que me decidí a mezclar y combinar diferentes técnicas que realmente no utilizo muy a menudo, pero que definitivamente debería acostumbrar a emplear más.

Estoy hablando de la escritura con pincel y la costura. Me encantan las dos técnicas y me encanta lo que otras personas hacen con eso, pero no sé por qué son algo que nunca tiendo a usar.

Así que para empujarme hacia el uso de estas técnicas, empecé por coger una de las etiquetas de costura de Amy Tangerine Plus One (la que tiene una pluma). Estas ya viene con los agujeros hechos, por lo que sólo hay que seguir el camino y así obtendrás una etiqueta texturizada increíble. ¡Muy simple!

Después de eso coloqué mi foto y los pequeños elementos que lo rodean. También usé rub -ons , que es de nuevo, algo que no suelo utilizar a menudo, pero que me encanta! La razón supongo es que tiendo a acumularlos... ¡es que son tan bonitos que no quiero usarlos y me los quiero quedar para siempre ahí tan monos en su paquete! Pero he decidido empezar a usarlos hasta vaciar los envases.

Por último en la parte inferior de la página pinté mi título. Estaba tan nerviosa... por que si la pifiaba... no tenía más papeles de esos para volver a empezar e iba a ser un gran título difícil de tapar en caso de necesidad jeje. Si te animas a probar algo así yo te recomendaría empezar por hacerlo sobre cartulina blanca de esa que siempre tenemos un montón para volver a empezar si nos equivocamos. Para el título, me inspiré en el nombre de una de las últimas colecciones de Studio Calico. Me encanta el logotipo y traté de hacer algo así con tinta negra.

Let's play with the Studio Calico Scrapbooking January Kit

Hello there,

Let's play Design team today... and what is that? Well, when you create layouts only with what you got in a kit, I call it this way. As it is exactly what the Design Team has to do when they receive a kit to promote it. I found this game pretty challenging sometimes. But at the same time it can be great to grow as a scrapbooker. It is also a good idea to avoid accumulating things that you actually buy but you don't end up using. If you challenge yourself to use only what it came on the kit I am sure you will end up using most of the items. Do you want to try?

This month I got the Studio Calico Scrapbooking January Kit (find it here). At this point I finished 3 layout working with only this material... and I have still plenty items to make one or two more layouts. Ok. I cheated a bit I used some Mr' Hueys...but hey! They are from Studio Calico as well and they are barely ever on a kit so hahaha that's good for me.

¿Jugamos al equipo de diseño hoy?... y ¿qué es eso? Bueno, pues cuando se crean diseños sólo con lo que viene en un kit, yo lo llamo así. Ya que es exactamente lo que el equipo de diseño tiene que hacer cuando reciben un kit para su promoción. A veces este juego puede resultar bastante difícil. Pero, al mismo tiempo puede ser muy beneficioso para crecer como scrapbooker. También es una buena técnica para evitar la acumulación de cosas que se compran y que al final no se usan. Además así seguro que acabas usando la mayoría de los artículos en el kit. ¿Quieres probar?

Este mes me hice con el Kit de Studio Calico Scrapbooking enero (puedes encontrarlo aquí). Hasta este momento he terminado 3 layouts con sólo este material ... y aun tengo elementos suficientes para hacer uno o dos diseños más. Ok . Hice una pequeña trampa, utilicé un poco de Mr. Hueys... pero bueno son de Studio Calico así que... y ya que casi nunca vienen en un kit pues... jajaja a mí me vale.

Hello fellows,

I hope you enjoyed my last post with the step by step tutorial (find it here). Because today I am sharing a page that I made following the same idea, techniques and embellishments but with a different meaning. I know that both of them (specially this one) has a spring feeling, but I just can't wait for spring to come! :) Too early to say that? Hope not!

For this page instead of using a triangle mask made by myself, I used a chevron mask by Studio Calico. Using the same technique (molding paste + white acrylic paint) I created this tone on tone effect.

I paint my tittle with the same nail polish. In fact it is the same one that I am using on the photos. I like the different effect of the Mr Huey's splashes on the cardstock and on the molding paste.

As you have may already noticed, for this page I used more girlie elements in comparison with the previous one. I had that flower sticker on my stash for ever, but I finally find the perfect spot to use it. Again I added the cute pastel colored feathers and some little wood pieces.

Have you spotted that corner on top? For me is the little details which makes the perfect page.

Espero que hayáis disfrutado mi último post con el tutorial paso a paso (podéis encontrarlo aquí ) porque hoy quiero compartir esta página que hice siguiendo la misma idea, las mismas técnicas y los adornos de la misma colección, pero con un significado diferente. Sé que ambos (especialmente éste) tiene una sensación primaveral, pero es que simplemente ¡¡¡no puedo esperar a la primavera ya!!! :) ¿Es muy pronto para decir eso? ¡Espero que no!

Para esta página en lugar de utilizar una máscara con forma de triángulo hecha por mí, he usado una máscara "chevron" de Studio Calico. Utilizando la misma técnica (pasta de moldeo + pintura acrílica blanca ) he creado este fondo con el efecto sobre tono .
De nuevo el titulo está pintado con el mismo esmalte de uñas. De hecho, es el mismo que llevo puesto en las fotos. Me gusta el diferente resultado de las salpicaduras de la tinta Mr. Huey sobre la cartulina y sobre la pasta de moldeo. ¿Os habéis fijado?
Como ya os habréis percatado, para esta página utilicé elementos más femeninos en comparación con el anterior. Esa pegatina gigante de flores de Dear Lizzy ha estado sobre mi mesa tiempo y tiempo pero al final me decidí a usarla en esta página y me parece el lugar perfecto para usarlo. Una vez más he añadido las plumas de color pastel  y algunas pequeñas piezas de madera.
¿Te has fijado en esa esquina en la parte superior ? Para mí son los pequeños detalles los que hacen que la página sea perfecta.

Happy Monday!

I hope you are all having a great start of the year. I can't believe it is again January. Where did the last year go?And what about your new year's resolutions? Already on the trash? Hope not!! hehe As always my main scrapbooking resolutions are try new things and share more of my work. So, today I am sharing this beautiful page (as part as my resolution checklist) that I made with my all time favorite line: 5th and Frolic from Dear Lizzy. Ok. It may be not a new thing but who doesn't have a special line which can resist using it again and again? I bet we all have one. So this is the page:

Step 1: I started creating the background by using a triangle piece of cardstock as a mask. I cut out a triangle from the pattern paper (from the same collection) and then I used it to make a stencil on a white piece of cardstock. With this technique you really can use any form or pattern that you can imagine.

Step 2: Then, I used this as a mask to paint triangles all over the page. To make them pop (dimensional) I mixed some white acrylic paint and molding paste and then I applied the mix with a brush. Once it dries you achieve, with this tone on tone technique, a beautiful texture.

Step 3: Ok. So now that the background is ready I grabbed the rest of the elements that I wanted to incorporate on my page: a photo, some pieces of pattern paper, wood veneers, stickers and of course a roller stamp.

Step 4: The next step would be to decide where to place the photo and then adding the papers as layers behind it. Some tricks: you can use pop dots to create more dimension and also you can place a glassine bag between the papers to make them pop (that is what I did here).

Step 5: To complete the page I added here and there some embellishments such as that cute little cloth pin, the feathers or the fox sticker. To finish the page, I painted my title and sprayed some Mr Huey's splashes. In case you were wondering, I painted my title with nail polish that is why it looks so much brighter!

¡Feliz Lunes! 

Espero que todos estéis teniendo un gran comienzo de año. No puedo creer sea otra vez Enero. ¿Adónde se fue el año pasado? ¿Ya tenéis propósitos de año nuevo? ¿O acabaron ya en la basura? ¡Espero que no! jeje Como siempre mis principales propósitos de scrapbooking vuelven a ser probar cosas nuevas y compartir más de mi trabajo. Por lo tanto, hoy os quería enseñar esta página (como parte de mi lista de propósitos) que hice con mi colección favorita de siempre: 5th and Frolic de DearLizzy . Vale. Puede que eso no sea algo nuevo, pero ¿quien no tiene una colección favorita a la que no puede resistirse a usar una y otra vez ? Apuesto a que todos tenemos una. Así que esta es la página.

Paso 1: Empecé por crear mi fondo utilizando una pieza de cartulina en forma de triángulo como máscara. La obtuve cortando un triángulo desde uno de los papeles de la misma colección y la usé para hacer una máscara en un pedazo blanco de cartulina. Con esta técnica se puede utilizar realmente cualquier forma o patrón que uno pueda imaginar.

Paso 2: Después, empleé esto como una máscara para pintar triángulos por toda la página. Para que tuvieran cierto volumen mezclé un poco de pintura acrílica blanca y pasta moldeable y luego apliqué la mezcla con un pincel. Una vez seca queda una textura super bonita con esta técnica de tono sobre tono.

Paso 3: El fondo está listo. Ahora toca elegir el resto de elementos que quería incorporar en mi página. Mi foto, algunos trozos de papel, las formas de madera, pegatinas, y por supuesto, un sello de rodillo.

Paso 4: El siguiente paso sería decidir dónde colocar mi foto. Y a continuación, añadir los papeles formando capas detrás de la foto.

Algunos trucos: se puede utilizar taquitos dimensionales para crear más dimensión y también se puede colocar una bolsa de papel o glassine entre los papeles para que haya más dimensión (Eso es lo que hice aquí).

Paso 5: Para completar la página añadí aquí y allá algunos adornos como ese pequeña pinza , las plumas color pastel o la pegatina de zorro. Para terminar, añadí mi título y salpicaduras de Mr Huey. Si os estáis preguntando con que pinté mi título, pues os lo dire: con esmalte de uñas para que fuera mucho más brillante. jeje
