On ice

Hello there,

I hope you are having a great start of the week. Did you manage to find a moment to scrap during the weekend? I didn't. But at least I took a few photos of some of the projects that I already completed. As the one that I am showing you today.

Although summer adventures are always my absolute favorite to document, this year I found that winter layouts can be as much as fun! For this page, I used my favorite technique to de-stash some loose alphabet letters and numbers (that I learned from Dear Lizzy long time ago) with which I tried to mimic the skates-marks on the ice.

September Gossamer Blue Blog Hop

Hello everyone!

It is time for a Gossamer Blue Blog Hop. Today, members of the Design Team are sharing some projects from the September Reveal Gallery to inspire you on different ways to use this month kits. The kits from this month were so fun to play with and I specially loved the wood veneer phrases to use as title. I am sure I am gonna used them in similar ways in the near future.

August Gossamer Blue Blog Hop

Happy weekend everyone,

It is time for a Gossamer Blue Blog Hop. Today, members of the Design Team are sharing some projects from the August Gallery to inspire you on different ways to use this month kits. I had tons of fun playing as well with this month digital cut files to create this page about my favorite ice-cream in the world. Seriously, it was THAT good.

I went with a repetitive and very subtle design on the background. I added different pattern papers from the kits to the back of the cut out ice-creams. I placed some small embellishments clusters here and there with the same coordinated colors. Of course, for this bright and happy page I had to use the gorgeous alphabet included in one of the kits to make my tittle.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and do not forget to visit the rest of the amazing projects from this talented ladies:

Happy Friday!

As many of you right now, I am completely obsessed with yellow. It is such a summery color and I love how fresh and bright it looks when mixed with white and wood. For today's page I played again with a grid design for adding lots of embellishments. I also used a grid wood veneer from a previous Studio Calico kit to frame the photo.

Without adding too much weight to the page, I placed around the photo a few speech bubbles with some of our thoughts when watching that sunset. I used some vellum and wood veneers speech bubbles with different phrases in white. On top of these, I adhered white rub-ons, die-cuts and thickers to bring some variety to the design.

¡Feliz Viernes!

Here

Hello,

Just cheking in before the weekend starts to show you a new page I created. As many of you have already noticed, I LOVE to document all types of moments, events or memories. Of course, scrapbooking for me is a way to be creative, to get crafty, to play with pretty stuff but also to remember moments that mattered in my life. I am a person who loves to have her photos printed. If I keep them only in my computer or phone I know I will end up forgetting about them. But don't get me wrong, I don't have to print EVERY.SINGLE.PHOTO, just enough to recall that story, detail or moment. And there is a huge variety of these.

For example, today I wanted to document the first time we went to a football (soccer) game together at my hometown. It was a great experience and I don't want to forget it. So, I just selected a few embellishments in black, white and red as these are the colors of the team. I also added green because of the color of the field and a grid paper for the background to mimic the net in the photo. I also added the tickets in a pocket behind the photo. I love to add memorabilia!

Hola,

Hondarribi

Hello there,

I hope you are having a great start of the week. Did you manage to find a moment to scrap during the weekend? I didn't. But at least I took a few photos of some of the projects that I already completed. As the one that I am showing you today.

The photos are from Hondarribi, a little town by the sea where my family have an apartment since I was a baby for summer vacations. The good thing is that is not very far from where I live, so, once in a while I can go there for the weekend and have some quiet time to relax. It is just perfect!

For this page, I wanted to play with blue, yellow and kraft tones mainly as those colors remains of the beach, the ocean and this place. As I usually use white cardstock I wanted to try to use one of those colored cardstocks that are all in a box waiting to be use. What do you think? Do you normally use colored cardstock?

Hola,

Hello Deusto

Hello!

Today I share with you a very soft page with a huge proportion of white space. I wanted to try an old sketch from Marcy Penner with a half cut or background-inserted title, a photo and almost all embellishments clustered on one side of the page.

But I couldn't leave the white space on the right completely untouched so I decided to add some stamped speech bubbles and watercoloring. I used a mix of Studio Calicos stamps for this as well as a huge variety of embellishments coming from different collections and manufacturers. Please, don't be afraid of mixing collections or even random things from past kits. Trust me, there it is exactly where the fun begins ;)

¡Hola!

27 on the 27th

Good morning!

I did a bit of crafting last week with all my new Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy collection. :) :) :) For those who know me, the Dear Lizzy collections are usually my favorite ones. So, this one is no exception. I am so glad I didn't had the time to scrap all my birthday photos because Fine & Dandy is perfect to document birthdays or any kind of party themed photos.

So, inspired by a sketch I found on Pinterest, I had some fun with the bits and pieces and the huge gold letters from Pebbles to create this cute design. I also added some extra embellishments from different collections I had on my stash to complete the page. Honestly, I have a big crush on this design.

Hello!

Some of you mentioned me already how much you love to see so many different themed projects on my blog/gallery. And how all those layouts or mini albums look so different from each because they mimic somehow the photos I used for each specific project. Well, I have to admit that I do love to try to translate the feeling of the photos to the rest of the layout. Whenever I start a project, I try to choose items from my stash that work well with my photos and the theme I want to create. That, I will say, that is really my starting point for every single page or mini album I made.

For example for this page at the painted forest called Bosque de Oma, I started by picking that woodgrain paper, the rabbit die-cut, flowers and camera. These subtle items will help to instantly see what it is going on on the photos.  I also wanted to include some paint related items or techniques but as I already had a lot of photos for one single layout, I decide instead to keep it simple by placing everything in a grid with just a few more subtle embellishments.

¡Hola!
