Donut worry!

Happy Monday!

I am back again with a page done with the latest Studio Calico Scrapbook Kits. The last kits (Camelot and Hello-Hello) made it into the top 5 of my all time favorites. They are super bright and fun with such cool designs and exclusive products... it's so hard to resist getting them, right? I also bought some of the most gorgeous add-ons ever to combine them with the main kit (as I am a subscriber, I have early access to the month kits and add-ons so I can grab them before they sell out).

So, this is the page I created with (mainly) the Hello-Hello kit. 

As I said before, I love how bright and happy these kits are so it was very easy to make a super fun page full of... donuts and silly selfies!;) 

The two donuts that I included as embellishments are part of a printable set by Oh Happy Day (you can find it here). And they totally inspired me to use circular photos which I cut with my 2" punch. I also punched out a couple of papers from the same kit to make a grid design.

Did you check out the title? hehe I love playing on words or puns and this one was very easy to make. (Donut worry = Don't worry). ;)

Happy Monday! 

Ya estoy de vuelta con más páginas hechas con los últimos kits De Scrapbooking de Studio Calico. Los últimos kits (Camelot y Hello-Hello) han conseguido llegar hasta el top 5 de mis favoritos. Me parecen increiblemente bonitos, alegres y divertidos con todo tipo de diseños frescos y productos exclusivos... es tan difícil resistirse a ellos.... ¿verdad? También caí en la tentación y me compre algunos de los kits adicionales para combinarlos con el kit principal (gracias a que soy suscriptora, tengo acceso temprano a los kits mensuales y los kits adicionales y puedo hacerme con ellos antes de que se agoten). 

Esta es la primera página que he creado con el kit Hello-Hello. 

Como he dicho antes, me encantan los colores vivos de estos kits, así que me resulto muy fácil hacer una página divertida llena de ... donuts y selfies tontas jeje ;) 

Los dos donuts que he añadido como adornos, son parte de un set gratuito de Oh Happy Day (podeis encontrarlo aquí). Y sin duda estos fueron mi inspiración a la hora de arriesgarme y incluir fotos circulares que corté con mi troquel de 2". También recorté un par de papeles incluidos en el kit para conseguir un diseño completo de 3x3 circulos. 

¿Te has fijado en el título? jeje Me encantan los juegos de palabras, sobre todo en ingles y este era muy fácil de hacer. (Donut worry = Don't worry o no te preocupes). ;)

Happy Sunday!

Just sharing here really quick two pages that I made yesterday inspired by the fabulous first video by Ginny (find it here). Do you already know her? She always amazes me with her unique ideas and designs. She is truly one of the best for me (find her gallery at Studio Calico here).

So these are the pages. I went and did one 12x12 layout.

And one 6x8 layout to include in my Summer Handbook. Seriously, working on an smaller size is really becoming a passion for me. Let's see where this takes me. ;)

¡Feliz domingo!

Me paso muy rápido por aquí hoy para compartir dos páginas que hice ayer inspiradas en el fabuloso primer video de Ginny (podéis encontrarlo aquí). ¿Ya la conoces? Ella siempre consigue alucinarme con sus originales ideas y diseños. Para mí es verdaderamente una de los mejores sin duda (podéis encontrarla en la galería de Studio Calico aquí).

Estas son las páginas. Por un lado hice una página 12x12 y por el otro una de 6x8 para incluir en mi Handbook album sobre este verano. En serio, trabajar en un tamaño más pequeño se esta convirtiendo en una obsesión para mí. Ya veremos a donde me lleva esto. ;)

Disney Mini Album

It is funny how many times I have thought during these years about making a mini album of our day at Disneyland in 2011. It took me so long to decide how I was going to create it as it was such a special moment for me and I did want to make it well. In fact, I kept our tickets, the map we used and the 1st visit badge from that day in a box until now because I knew I wanted to remember that day the best that I could. And man, it feels so good to have finally found a place for them to stay and to love the result so much! 

Here is a look at my mini. I was inspired by Stephanie Bryan's take on the Fold Out mini album by Nicole Reaves at Studio Calico. The outside book measures more or less 4.25 x 4.25 inches and each page is 8x12 inches (except for the last one where I added the map which is 8x4). 

I tried to keep it simple using the same sketch for all of the pages (on the top row I always used a circle, on the second one 3 die-cut circles to resemble balloons at the park, gold stars and a magic related quote and on the third row I played with scrap papers and cork). On the last page at the bottom you can find a small envelope where I keep the tickets and my journaling. Enjoy!

Es curioso cómo muchas veces en estos años he pensado en hacer un mini álbum sobre el día que pasamos en Disneyland en 2011. Me ha costado un montón de tiempo decidir cómo iba a hacerlo, ya que era un momento tan especial para mí y no quería hacer algo rápido y medio chof simplemente por tenerlo hecho. De hecho he mantenido bien guardaditos en una caja  los tickets, el mapa que usamos y la chapa de primera visita desde de ese día hasta ahora porque sabía que quería recordar ese día lo mejor que podía. Y en serio, ¡qué bien sienta  haber encontrado finalmente un lugar para recordar esos momentos y además estar tan contenta con el resultado! 

Aquí va el mini. Me inspiré en el mini de Stephanie Bryan que hizo a partir del mini Fold Out de Nicole Reaves en Studio Calico. El exterior del libro es más o menos 4.25 x 4.25 pulgadas y cada página es de 8x12 pulgadas (a excepción de la última donde guardo el mapa que es 8x4). 

Traté de mantener un diseño sencillo y similar para todas las páginas (en la fila superior siempre he usado un círculo, en el segundo unos 3 círculos que se asemejan a globos, estrellas doradas y una cita relacionada con la magia y en la tercera fila he jugado con trozos de papel y el corcho). En la última página en la parte inferior, añadí un pequeño sobre donde guardo los tickets y mi diario. ¡Qué lo disfriteís!

Party of 3 (Biscuit Project DT)

Hello,

Today I bring you the page I made with the Scrap non-stop June kit from Biscuit Project. As soon as I took this photo with my parents I knew I will use it right away on a scrap page. It was such a special moment for me because they came here to Braunschweig (Germany) for 10 days to visit me and see how I live here. We have always been such a traveler family and they truly showed my sister and I the world. But what it is most important, they taught us how to travel and how important is to open our minds by discovering new places, traditions and cultures.

I love this month's kit!! I love that they included a whole 6x6 pad to play with. So many cool papers and such a wide variety of colors. I tried to include some of the most colorful ones on top of the photo and to contrast them I placed just a B&W paper on the bottom. 

One of the papers is composed by cool little quotes or words that I cut apart to add a few of them as cute embellishments. I used the ones that combine the best with my title and the photo.

And since all the papers are from the same collection from We R Memory Keepers the word banners combined in color and style very well with the rest of the papers on this page. Perfect!

Hola, 

Hoy os traigo la página que hice con el kit de junio Scrap non-stop de Biscuit Project. Tan pronto como tomé esta foto con mis padres supe que iba a utilizar de inmediato en una página de scrap. Es un momento tan especial para mí porque mis padres se han animado a venir aquí a Braunschweig (Alemania) durante 10 días a visitarme y ver cómo me va por aquí. Siempre hemos sido una familia super viajera y ellos realmente nos mostraron, a mi hermana y a mí, el mundo. Y lo más importante nos enseñaron cómo viajar y lo imprescindible que es abrir nuestras mentes descubriendo nuevos lugares, tradiciones y culturas. 

¡Me encanta el kit de este mes! Me encanta el 6x6 pad lleno de papeles para jugar. En el os podréis encontrar con un montón de diseños originales y una amplia variedad de colores. Traté de incluir algunas de los papeles más coloridos en la parte superior de la foto y contrastarlo con un papel B&W en la parte inferior. 

Uno de los papeles está compuesto por pequeñas frases o palabras interesantes que he recortado para añadirlos  como adornos. Utilicé los que iban mejor con mi título y la foto. Y puesto que todos los papeles son de la misma colección de We R Memory Keepers las pequeñas frases recortadas combinan a la perfección en color y estilo con el resto de los papeles en esta página.

Scrapaddictes DT

Yes!

As many of you have probably already seen it on Instagram... I am on the Design Team of Scrapaddictes!!! I am super excited to be part of this team, which is by the way A W E S O M E!! They are all great scrappers and I can't wait to share this adventure with them and with Ana who is the incredible girl behind Scrapaddictes.

¡Sí! 

Como muchas de vosotras probablemente ya hayais visto en Instagram ... ¡estoy en el equipo de diseño de Scrapaddictes! Estoy super emocionada de ser parte de este equipo, que es por cierto increíble! Todas ellas son grandes scraperas y me muero de ganas de compartir esta aventura con ellas y con Ana, que es la chica que se esconde detrás de Scrapaddictes. ¡Gracias Ana!
